Reporting Absences

The parent or legal guardian must call the school Attendance Line at (920) 852-5400 as early as possible, but before 2:00 p.m. each day a student is absent, to provide the school with notification of the absence and the reason for the absence.

Any calls received after that time may not be accepted. If the absence extends for more than three (3) days, or if the student has a chronic attendance problem, a physician’s statement may be required before the student’s absences are considered excused.

If a student has an appropriately signed 18-year-old agreement filed in the Student Services Office, he/she assumes the aforementioned responsibility of the parent or legal guardian.

If the parent/guardian does not contact the school regarding an absence, the student is considered unexcused. That absence will remain unexcused, with all the consequences of an unexcused absence, unless a parent/guardian contacts the school by telephone or in person within 24 hours of the absence.
